Questions about colouring in

Is it free?

Yes. Every colouring page and every creature is free, with no adverts, no accounts and nothing to download.

Can I print the colouring pages?

Yes. Press Print to print your creature as you've coloured it, or print a blank outline and colour it in with real crayons. You don't need to print anything to play, though: tap a shape to fill it on screen, then press Bring it to life and your creature follows your pointer round the page.

What does Colour it for me do?

It colours your creature in the colours of the real animal: a red ladybird with black spots, a yellow and black bee, a peacock butterfly with its eyespots. Press it again for fun colours instead.

Which animals can I colour in?

Twenty-four, in two sets of twelve. Easier: a beetle, a ladybird, a butterfly, a bee, a dragonfly, a spider, a frog, a crab, a turtle, a fish, a shark and a bird. Harder, with about twice as many shapes: a stag beetle, a peacock butterfly, an atlas moth, an owl, a parrot, a hedgehog, a tortoise, an octopus, a lionfish, a crocodile, a Stegosaurus and a T. rex.

What age is it for?

It's made for children of about three to eleven. The easier set is just right for little ones. Older children can switch to the harder set, with over a hundred shapes in one creature, and use the crayon, stickers and Mirror to make their own patterns.

Does it work on a tablet or phone?

Yes. It works in the web browser on tablets, phones and computers. On a touch screen, tap where you want your creature to go.

Is anything I make saved or shared?

Your creatures are kept in your own browser on your own device, so they're there next time. Nothing is uploaded or shared with anyone.
